Moravian angling union, section of Casting, prepared 4 indoor competitions during winter season. Sometimes caster from another districts come and participate. Thanks to that we were able to compare Jihlava caster with guys from Ostrava, Pelhřimov or slovakian Nové Zámky. Our competitions consist of 3 rounds of arenberg and 3 rounds of skish. Out of official ranking we allow to cast multiplier skish for separate rank.
Only Adam and Honza were lucky to participate all 4 competitions. Vojta, Petr and Filip could not participate at least one competition just because of covid illness. Men participated all events, in one case they did not cast to move little guys home sooner.
We started the season at Kroměříž. We took new little boy Filip with us. His first competition after 3 months of training. Had to cast against more experienced casters and other new boys. Quite good results at arenberg, also at skish. He did set up the first result for beating it next time. Placed the middle of overall category rank. Adam did fight with Honza from Chropyně and we knew about Martin from Bohumín and Kryštof from Ostrava. But later we had problems with Tomáš from Brno, casting only 2 points less than Adam at arenberg. Honza had 18 points more and added additional points at skish. Adam tried his best but first round of skish was not good and great second and third round only settled him down to 2nd place.
Vojta could not join us so in -15 category only Honza and Petr casted. Petr could not train enough during winter and we saw that during competition. He had good result at only one round per each event. Only placed 6th position. Honza did well at arenberg loosing only 12 point for 1st placed Max. Then disaster at skish, first and second round were really bad. At third round he casted 25 points more than other guys but 1st and 2nd placed boys were leading more so Honza was third. Kristýna was in good mood, casting the best results of indoor season. Tatiana from Bohumín tried to fight with her at arenberg but Kristýna had also great results at skish. She finally won her category.
Men had great arenberg. Jirka casted his first 90p round, Karel had only 6 points of arenberg loss. Then skish came. Bad, bad, baaad... Jirka was the last man in rank, Karel was 7th. But one good information, at least - Zuzana won.
The second competition hosted by Jihlava... that means by us. One of the biggest Czech indoor competitions of season, 65 caster from south Moravia, north Moravia and south Bohemia. That time we were missing Vojta and Filip too. The rest of us had advantage in knowing area of casting as we had been training there.
Adam fought against Honza of Chropyně again. New competitor - Václav of Pelhřimov and also Kryštof of Ostrava. The first placed was still switching between Adam and Honza. After first round of Arenberg Adam did lead. Deuce after second round. Honza on first position after third round. First round of skish Honza still at first position increasing leading points. Loosing points at second round and Adam moved to first place. Last round Adam casted more again and won with only 8 points more.
Honza and Petr had it hard. We know boys of Pelhřimov are very dangerous at target competitions. And we saw it again there. Petr improved his results and had them better than at Kroměříž but good enough for only middle of rank. Honza was almost as good as Matěj of Kroměříž, but Pelhřimov guys were higher. Honza improved at skish and moved higher than Matěj but he placed only 3rd positions. Pelhřimov guys were first and second.
Kristýna had it hard because of girls of Ostrava and Vítkov. But she fought bravely and missing only 2 point for first placed Anna of Vítkov after arenberg. But loosing point at skish and was lucky to holding 2nd place against Eliška of Bohumín.
Men casted well too. Unfortunately all men had great results. Because of that Jirka and Tomáš were near the end of the rank. But knowing how long the cast it cannot be called shame. Karel had only 2 points arenberg loss but missed 1 target in every skish round. Luckily he won with 1 point more than 2nd guy.
And Zuzana had more points that everyone from Jihlava. In fact... with 9 point of target loss (96-100-100-100-100-95) was the best caster of the competition.
In Hodonice, only boys and Zuzana casted. Filip and Vojta came with us. Filip was casting like one good, one bad style. Bad start at arenberg, then growing up and last round was one of his best. Good start at skish, then zero at second round. Last round again good. Finally 8th place. Adam fought against Honza and Václav again. Honza had great arenberg and then going down. Adam walked different way, each round improving his result. But again loosing points at first round of skish. Then growing up again but only 2nd place finally.
Honza, Petr and Vojta fought against Matějs, one from Kroměříž, one from Pelhřimov. Honza and Petr were very close to 3rd position during whole competition but then lost at last round of skish. Finally 4th place for Honza and 5th place for Petr. Vojta started with 96p at arenberg and had enough points for leading that had during whole competition so he won.
Zuzana casted against other women and had a problem to cast 100p rounds. Always one cast missed. But she won having lot of points above the 2nd lady.
Last competition at Velké Pavlovice. Again not complete team, Filip and Petr could not participate. Adam fought against Honza of Chropyně again. This time very close result of both of them. Only 2 points difference between them after arenberg. Similar fight during skish. Adam had last round result like Honza at first round, Adam had second round result like Honza at last round. The difference was only in one round where Adam had 10 points less than Honza and was the 2nd again. But this time the difference was very small.
Honza had a reel problem. Not enough line there. Karel did lend him his reel but it was not the same feeling. But 4th place better than nothing. Vojta fought against Matěj and it was not good at the beginning. After 4 rounds he though everything was fine and 1st place should be sure but then he saw the results and saw a guy from Nové Zámky on first place. So he tried his best in last two rounds and with fantastic results he got to first place with 15 points above the others.
Kristýna had no other caster in her category so she tried to beat herself and was successful and won... :) Well, ... his father was not so lucky, it was disaster. Only one round of six ones was good. He could be happy for 6th place. Jirka had quite good results at arenberg but problem with skish targets. Well, lets hope it will be better outside.
The last competition ended indoor league of Moravian angling union. Only 3 best results counted to final rank but Adam was still at second place. Filip was 7th. Honza got silver and Petr got bronze medals. Vojta won twice but needed at least one competition more to get some points. With two wins he got 5th place.
We had also 1st place at junior girls, and 3rd, 10th and 11th place at men ranking. Zuzana would win the ladies category but she is from north Moravia so she was not counted.
So we are saying goodbye to indoor season for 2021-2022 and preparing for outdoor season.
