Sometimes Casting club of Jihlava participates competitions of different district than only its own one. And as we cooperate with Moravian-Silesian district quite closely and as Zuzana training with us is from that district, time to time we have a trip and cast there with kind agreement of the organizers. That means 4 more competitions but - why not :) The only problem is limited amount of casters so mostly we took the advanced casters.
The first competition was at the end of 2021. Christmas cup of Bohumín. We took one boy up to 12ys category, one boy up to 15ys category, one Kristýna as junior girl and several old men. We casted 4 events - spinning triathlon and multiplier skish. Special "plug" for distance event. triathlon for ranking.
Adam did cast 92p at arenberg and 75 at skish, second best category cast at distance so in summary he won with 29 points more than boy at 2nd place. Vojta did cast 86-85 and the longest distance cast of his category but based on target loss he could be happy for at least 3rd place. For 2nd place he needed 0.85 points more. Kristýna had the least result of team and was 3rd at her category. But men were worse, the best one was at fifth place.
The second action was hosted by Kunčice pod Ondřejníkem, the place Karel Světelský lives in. We took Honza with us. Events were the same like at Bohumín. That competition happened at 2022 so some 12 years old boys moved to higher category and Adam had the competition easier, Honza and Vojta had it harder. But from their category the 100-points caster Robert from Kroměříž moved to junior category so on the other hand... it was easier.
Up to 12 years category has two still "fighting" boys - our Adam and Honza from Chropyně, great target caster. Casted 6 points more than Adam at arenberg and added another 15 points at skish. Adam tried to reduce his loss at distance event but he reduced only 3 points and placed 2nd position then.
Honza had great 80p at arenberg and almost new personal record at skish. Distance quite good, finally at fifth place. Vojta not good enough at arenberg but great 95 at skish pushing him to leading category. Then as the only guy of his category he had distance over 16 meters and won with more than 50 points above the 2nd position.
Kristýna did as well as at previous competition and stayed below medal positions.
Men were the first and the last. Jirka had one of his best arenberg results but disaster at skish and distance as we do not train this event. Karel had full-point arenberg and 1-missed skish and was second behind Jan Bombera. But he casted more at distance and won with 0.67 points more than Jan on 2nd position.
Third competition at Hlučín. Karel went there alone with Zuzana and because of Zuzana. But as he was there, he did cast too. Casted 3x arenberg and 3x skish. But it was disaster, terribly beaten by Jan Bombera. With great luck he had as many points as Karel Světelský and amount of 100-points decided who will be the second. Luckily Karel casted 100 points won and Karel not casted 100 points lost. Karel from Jihlava did cast the 100 points :)
Zuzana is not from Jihlava but let's say - she was also able to cast 100 points.
The last competition hosted by Budišov nad Budišovkou. Best place of season for casting great results. Unfortunately during time of expensive oil so we used only one car to move there. Special action there - 2x arenberg, 2x skish and final rounds of arenberg and final rounds of skish. Final round of 4 or 5 best casters.
Adam and his disaster at first arenberg round. Based on his angry he casted second round worse. Missing 6 points for leader in summary. Then he watched the final round of his category knowing only 4 points he missed to cast at final. Changed is mind. Next two rounds of skish were 50 points better than anyone of his category in summary. Nominated to final round where got 2nd place. In summary he won his category then.
Jirka had great arenberg results but then his unpopular skish rounds came and first round was very baaad. But as extreme low result at first round, another extreme high result at second round.
Moving Jirka up to 6th place, best place at his career so far.
Karel showed up his best form of indoor season. Target loss only 7 points made him winner.
Every medal placed caster got a chocolate reward, the travel back to home was very sweet...
End of season. Boys looks to be able to cast well if they want to and if they are in good mood, medal positions wait for them.
We needed to improve target events. Now outdoor season is coming and we will see if the training was good enough.
