Spring round of 1st and 2nd league. There are teams in Czechia their members have only a few opportunities to meet each other during a year. One guy living in the East, another guy living in the west, another one in the north. Work and family. Although they say some party should be done to talk about news, the year passes away and people did not meet. But one action can change it all. A competition of first or second league. It is a time that can be explained at home. It is only twice per year. It is the situation guy can find free time and except for real serious problem, everyone can come. And the while when all can meet each other happen. Twice a year, at least.
Near the court in Velké Pavlovice 10 of 12 nominated teams for first league came as well as 5 teams for second league. And two competitors more. Jihlava was able to create 3 teams with no substition. That was the problem. A while before the competition complications came. One problem with should, one problem with ankle, one problem with Covid. Two teams consisted of 4 guys, the last one consisted of one boy. His idea to multiply his result by four was not accepted.
As usual, we started with target events, then the court was prepared for distances. Pentathlon was casted only. Each event started by casters of first league, then the guys of second league.
The weather was not nice, it was raining at the beginning. We prepared a tent and umbrellas. Then nice weather came...
The only person with no improve was Vojta. Fly skish still not good as the last year even there was better result than last week. Fly distance was bad, result 20 point lower than last weekend result. But finally it was not so bad, pentathlon went over 400 points. Training absence can be seen a lot.
Adam was almost copying results from last weekend competitions. Although dissatisfied all the time during casting, we got over 390 points in pentathlon again, for third time from last 4 competitions. And new personal record at fly distance 2 points better than last record.
Honza was better in his improvement. Started with new personal record at fly skish and added constant results at the rest of target events. The decision about changing the casting style of fly distance was right. With great technique Honza did cast 6 meters longer cast than his personal record and improved his event record by 12 points. The only problem was at spinning distance, Honza had only saving cast. But - knowing that even with the saving cast new pentathlon maximum is improved by 11 points it seems that we are going to go much higher.
Petr was the biggest surprise. Made skish events as his personal records. Bad situation at arenberg. Again problem with very gingerly casting. Two minutes before end of event we started with big pressure. Getting Petr into stress we was casting much better and then he got both cast over 40 meters for his first time. His new record is better by 5 points. Then plug distance with distanace over 50 meters. Based on that Petr made his hew personal record at pentathlon, having it over 350 points for first time.
All the boys did cast in second league. Team Jihlava "C" with its leader Honza (was there as the only competitor) was at fifth place, missing 700 points for the fourth place team.
Tomáš was the leader of Jihlava "B". He made two new records in events and made new personal record in pentathlon improved by great 25 points. With that he helped the team have average team results 400 points. The team placed second position in the spring round of 2nd league.
At first league Jihlava "A" consisted of old couple Váňa-Majkl-Karel, with help of hosting Milan from Žirovnice. The result was quite fine, team was one of five having over 1 900 pints. But Jihlava is missing 50 points to get over others. It will be hard next round.
So the Jihlava group met again in almost all. There was lot of discussions, talks with other teams and the competitions ended during nice weather.
Now a few competitions will cast at National Cup competitions being fighting for World championship nominations.
